hey hey dudes!

finally... a blog from moi! hehe. sorry guys, but it's just that i've been so so so busy what with exam and assignment! was so stressed out last week, but we all got through it thank God!! and i passed my exam, woo hoo! they gave out the results so quickly, like the next day! it was crazy! seriously when i was about to check my results online, my heart was beating so fast, about to scroll down to my candidate number to find out my marks! i dont know why i felt nervous, it doesnt even count for much! but u know, it's nice to do well! so at least dont have to think about it anymore! im just dreading when my assignment comes back! we had to write an article and a piece of 'reflection' about our first 4 weeks of uni, but cos i've already been at uni, i kinda compared last year's experiences with this year's, like. aargh, see, im not that good at writing long pieces! well, only emails and blogs! but that's all my thoughts all spat out onto the page in one long breath almost - just a mishmash of words, not proper english!!

anyways, i've just been on a hospital visit and it was really interesting. we had to dress smartly and wore labcoats some of us did. blimey do my feet hurt now! wore my smart black boots, and wore them all day. and cos i was rushing to lecture this morning, and cos the boots are very slightly bigger than my feet, i can feel blisters brewing on my feet, ouch! been rubbing on my toes all day! grrr.... next time, im wearing flats (tho need to buy some smart black flats, dont have any!) and now im on the computers, cos i cant be bothered to walk home and plus i dont have time to get back home and come back into town again cos it's my friend's 20th birthday meal tonight. im absolutely starviiiiiiinnnggggg!!! aaagrh, my tummy! noooooo..!

yeah, so the course is going great anyways. starting to get really interesting now. like we're able to visit patients and visiting our 'pregnant mum' for our family study project (u've probs heard me going on about it, but it's the best part of the course i think!). we also learnt to take blood, like i managed to get blood out of anna's arm, yay! so that's cool! and we've learnt to do chest examinations with us stethoscopes, almost like a proper doctor! hehe. and i quite enjoy the ethics seminars much more than i thought i would, which is great! cos it's pretty important really! and i starting to get to know more people on my course, which is ace. i was a bit worried about that, but it's cool now. im trying to sit with different people in order that i see different people instead of the same ones all the time, tho it's essential to see the same people to build up friendships, like. like last thurs, we had our group 6 social, and it was so much fun! we went out for a meal and then went out afterwards. it's so funny seeing my classmates out of the lecture/seminar setting, they're absolutely bonkers!! but they're great people. make me laugh!

ooh, it's the Christian Union House Party weekend away this weekend! yay yay yay! been looking forward to it for aggeeeeesss!! it's gonna be so much fun! it will be full of worship, talks, food, fun, music, dressing up, bonfire, activities (like assault courses, i think!). like on the saturday there will be a big dinner where we're dressing up - theme is (super)heroes and villains. me, clare, rachel and kate are gonna be the 4 musketeers! we've got the hat and feathers and cloak already. just need swords and mask! it's gonna be goood!! gonna be hilarious! we were gonna be the teenage mutant hero turtles, but our friend isn't able to get the costumes, and it's hard to make the costumes for that! and we also thought of the supermario brothers! but i think the musketeers is gonna be good! harriet is gonna be Daphne from scooby-doo!!

oh, and then next weekend, it's gonna be the medics ball! yay! been looking forward to that for ages too! i've got me dress and shoes. me and harriet tried on our dresses yesterday evening! it's exciting! gonna be well fun, with champagne reception, 3-course meal, dj, professional photographer, inflatable boxing ring (!!!), chocolate foundtain!!! i mean the tickets for the ball were £42, pretty expensive, but worth it!! i hope!! a chance to dress up all nice! hehe.

the weekend was such a nice relaxing weekend!! went to CU on the friday evening, and then the pub afterwards, getting to know people, chatting, relaxing. on the saturday, mum, dad, mei yee and wai-wai came up!! was great to see them! looked at houses, and then went into town. showed wai-wai the Gulliver's Travel display in the big window in Fenwick (the department store in town), it's a bit crazy, it tells a story. not sure if wai-wai liked it or not!! last year was The Snowman, and the year before was Aliens... weeeiirrrddd! it's strange how they've already got christmas decorations in town ALREADY! crazy, man! it's only november still! but wai-wai liked all the lights and stars! and then mei yee found a ball dress!! woo hoo, and to her specification, pretty much! it's gorgeous!!

anyways, i should be going now! time to go! man, am i hungry!! anyways, i hope this is enough for u guys to read! i kept putting it off writing this, but i keep thinking of more and more things to write! once i start i dont stop! as u well know....! hehe.

well, long time no blog... a lot has happened since i last wrote 2 weeks ago!! registered onto the Medicine course. exciting stuff, tho have had lots of lectures, even during the freshers week! anyways, this is gonna be short... i need to read the previous blog, to see where i got up to!! and then i shall continue another time! cos i'm gonna go shopping and then we're meeting our flatmates from last year for a flat 7D 'reunion' for lunch. plus it's also Yeji's 21st birthday!!! it's her surprise birthday party tonight! u know, i totally forgot it was her bday today (shame on me...!) until Seniye rung me cos Yeji's boyfriend rung Seniye, wanting to organise a party for her! and i'd already was arranging to meet our last year's flatmates (Sarah, Claire, Yeji, Seniye and Harriet) for lunch, so good job that Seniye reminded me!! anyways, so we're still going ahead with the lunch (minus Seniye, who's helping to organise the party) and we musnt let Yeji twig about her surprise party, but somehow i dont think she will!! last year she forgot it was her birthday, until her parents rung her to wish her happy birthday! bless her! she's so cute! but i think she was very homesick at that time, missing her home in Korea very much. anyways, i remember that, cos she told us it was her bday and so we were making her a massive birthday card at like 1am in the morning after her bday, and put it outside her room with lots of chocolate and sweets!! and then she left us sweets at our door to say thank you!!
